2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Oliver "Ollie" Schwallenstecker of Bunker | ||||||
4 | Hill, who passed away on October 1, 2019; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Ollie Schwallenstecker was born in Woodburn to | ||||||
6 | Louis Schwallenstecker and Rosalind (Wood) Kaeshamer on | ||||||
7 | January 10, 1939; he married Judy (Price) Schwallenstecker in | ||||||
8 | Bunker Hill on March 30, 1957; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Ollie Schwallenstecker retired from Shell Oil, | ||||||
10 | where he served as a supervisor; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Ollie Schwallenstecker served on the Bunker Hill | ||||||
12 | City Council, the Bunker Hill Library Board, and the Macoupin | ||||||
13 | County Board; he was a member of the Bunker Hill Masonic Lodge | ||||||
14 | 151 A.F. & A.M., the Bunker Hill Fire Department, the Shell | ||||||
15 | Wood River Refinery History Museum, the Minutemen Quarterback | ||||||
16 | Club, the Bunker Hill High School Alumni Association, the | ||||||
17 | Meissner PTA, the Macoupin County Route 66 Association of | ||||||
18 | Illinois, the Illinois Route 66 Motor Tour, the Macoupin County | ||||||
19 | Historical Society & County Genealogical Society, and the | ||||||
20 | Southern Illinois Mustang Association; he served as the Mt. | ||||||
21 | Olive Soulsby Shell Station Restoration Coordinator, a solar | ||||||
22 | car race volunteer, a Khoury Little League coach, and the voice |

1 | of Minutemen football; he was selcted for the BHHS 2016 Wall of | ||||||
2 | Honor; and
| ||||||
3 | WHEREAS, Ollie Schwallenstecker was preceded in death by | ||||||
4 | his parents; his brothers, LaVerne Schwallenstecker and James | ||||||
5 | Harrington; his sister, Jane Reed; his brothers-in-law, Gary | ||||||
6 | Wayne Price and Steven Price; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Ollie Schwallenstecker is survived by his wife, | ||||||
8 | Judy; his children, Pam (Dave) Monetti, Deb (Herb) Rose, and | ||||||
9 | Jim (Tina) Schwallenstecker; his grandchildren, Kristina | ||||||
10 | Monetti, Michael Monetti, Brett (Jayme) Rose, Austin Rose, | ||||||
11 | Cameron (Amy) Rose, Seirra Schwallenstecker, Dakota | ||||||
12 | Schwallenstecker, and Marcus Voss; his great-grandchildren, | ||||||
13 | Charlotte Rose, Sawyer Jo Rose, and Avery Monetti; his brother, | ||||||
14 | Richard Schwallenstecker; his brothers-in-law, Charlie (Cindy) | ||||||
15 | Price and Mike (Sally) Price; his sisters-in-law, Betty (Dave) | ||||||
16 | Craddick and Mary Lee Schwallenstecker; therefore, be it

17 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
18 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
19 | Oliver "Ollie" Schwallenstecker and extend our sincere | ||||||
20 | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
