| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Kimberly A. "Kim" Hopper of Raymond, who |
| 4 | | passed away on November 11, 2019; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Kim Hopper was born in Sullivan, Indiana to |
| 6 | | Gregory Carl and Mary "Betty" Elizabeth Mills Boyd on August |
| 7 | | 31, 1975; she graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a |
| 8 | | bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in English and a |
| 9 | | teacher's certification; she married Aaron W. Hopper in |
| 10 | | Westfield on June 8, 1996; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Kim Hopper worked as an English and psychology |
| 12 | | teacher and librarian at South Central School; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Kim Hopper took on the role of teacher and filled |
| 14 | | leadership roles at Pleasant Hill Christian Church near |
| 15 | | Raymond; she was the Vacation Bible School director and the |
| 16 | | youth director at church camp; she was the lifeguard at the |
| 17 | | Salvation Army Youth Camp and director for the Panhandle PTO |
| 18 | | Scholastic Book Fair; she helped with youth sporting events |
| 19 | | throughout the year and served as secretary for six years on |
| 20 | | the Doyle Public Library Board; and
|
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Kim Hopper was preceded in death by her father, |
