SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Maurice "Maury" Becker of Lynn Center, 
4who passed away on November 11, 2019; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Maury Becker was born in Henry County to  Arthur 
6and Lila (Nelson) Becker on September 3, 1926; he served in the 
7U.S. Army and married June Benton in Davenport, Iowa on June 
812, 1955; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Maury Becker was a hard worker, a dedicated 
10husband and father, and a lifelong farmer; and
  
 
  
11    WHEREAS, Maury Becker was preceded in death by his wife, 
12June, and his brother, Merton; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Maury Becker is survived by his children, Cathy, 
14Jeffrey (Ana Claudia), Jon, and Christopher Becker, and his 
15grandchildren, Justin (Lexi) Becker, Michael Popescu, and Kira 
16Popescu; therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
19Maurice "Maury" Becker and extend our sincere condolences to 
20his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
