| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Edmund Raymond "Zeke" Bratkowski of Santa |
| 4 | | Rosa Beach, Florida, who passed away on November 11, 2019; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Zeke Bratkowski was born in Westville to Kasmer |
| 6 | | and Elizabeth Kraninock Bratkowski on October 20, 1931; he |
| 7 | | served in the United States Air Force as an aircraft pilot and |
| 8 | | played college football for the University of Georgia; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Zeke Bratkowski played for 14 years in the |
| 10 | | National Football League as a quarterback for the Los Angeles |
| 11 | | Rams, the Chicago Bears, and the Green Bay Packers; he was a |
| 12 | | two-time Super Bowl champion and a three-time National Football |
| 13 | | Conference champion; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Zeke Bratkowski was inducted into the University |
| 15 | | of Georgia Hall of Fame, the University of Georgia Circle of |
| 16 | | Honor, the Florida Georgia Hall of Fame, the Green Bay Packers |
| 17 | | Hall of Fame, and the National Polish-American Sports Hall of |
| 18 | | Fame; and |
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Zeke Bratkowski was a devoted husband, father, |
| 20 | | grandfather, and great-grandfather; and
