| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Cecilia F. Videcan of Joliet, who passed |
| 4 | | away on November 6, 2019; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Cecilia Videcan was born in Floresville, Texas to |
| 6 | | Vincent and Annie (Zissa) Jiral on May 10, 1932; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Cecilia Videcan moved to Joliet with her husband, |
| 8 | | Edward, where she raised her family and worked as a switchboard |
| 9 | | operator at Barrett's Hardware; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Cecilia Videcan enjoyed growing flowers and |
| 11 | | vegetables; her second passion was baking, and all of her |
| 12 | | family and friends looked forward to her strawberry rhubarb |
| 13 | | pie, Christmas cookies, and potica; she volunteered her time at |
| 14 | | Holy Family Catholic Church and the DaVita Renal Center West; |
| 15 | | and

| 16 | | WHEREAS, Cecilia Videcan was preceded in death by her |
| 17 | | husband, Edward; her son, Donald; and her parents; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Cecilia Videcan is survived by her daughters, |
| 19 | | Catherine (David) Kapinus and Kimberly (Keith) Ogle; her |
| 20 | | daughter-in-law, Deborah (Calabrese) Vidican; her |
