| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Patricia "Patty" Busboom, formerly of |
| 4 | | Urbana, who passed away on November 28, 2019; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Patty Busboom was born in Champaign to Clifford |
| 6 | | Pete and Sally (Wood) Wilborn on December 27, 1936; she |
| 7 | | graduated from Champaign High School in 1954, where she was the |
| 8 | | first Maxi Maroon; she married Wayne Busboom in Rantoul on |
| 9 | | February 12, 1961; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Patty Busboom worked at various businesses in the |
| 11 | | Champaign area, including Carle; she wrote a column for the |
| 12 | | Urbana Courier and did bookkeeping for the family farm; she was |
| 13 | | best known for the hot meals she carried out to the farmers in |
| 14 | | the fields; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Patty Busboom was an officer on the Champaign |
| 16 | | County Board; she was proud of her involvement in politics and |
| 17 | | was involved in the Champaign County Farm Bureau; she was a |
| 18 | | former member of the American Lutheran Church in Rantoul; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Patty Busboom was preceded in death by her |
| 20 | | husband, Wayne; her parents; and her brother, Larry Wilborn; |
| 21 | | and
