SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Carol J. Riley, who passed away on 
4November 29, 2019; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Carol Riley was born in Waukegan to Cecil and 
6Marion (Andersen) Brecheisen on February 17, 1947; and
  
 
  
7    WHEREAS, Carol Riley greatly enjoyed spending time with her 
8family, especially her grandchildren; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Carol Riley was preceded in death by her parents 
10and her brother-in-law, Terrence Tiernan; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Carol Riley is survived by her husband of 50 
12years, William C. Riley; her sister, Marjery Tiernan; her 
13children, Julie (Todd) Niemiec, Robert (Andrea), and Darren 
14(Deborah); and her grandchildren, Sara, Grace, Mark, Brett, 
15Erin, Emily, and Shane; therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
18Carol J. Riley and extend our sincere condolences to her 
19family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
