SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Carole M. Crosby of East Moline, who 
4passed away on December 18, 2019; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Carole Crosby was born in Savanna to Charles and 
6Amelia (VanBuer) Peat on March 8, 1924; she served in the U.S. 
7Navy during World War II and married Clarence Crosby in Moline 
8in February of 1948; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Carole Crosby enjoyed taking trips  to the casino 
10and sewing; her greatest joy was her family, especially her 
11great-grandsons; and
  
 
  
12    WHEREAS, Carole Crosby was preceded in death by her 
13great-grandson, Charles "Cheddy" Ohr, and her sister, 
14Catherine Edwards; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Carole Crosby is survived by her daughter, Celeste 
16Mosher; her granddaughter, Ryan (Kenneth) Ohr; her 
17great-grandsons, K.J. and Ben; and her nephews, Jon and Van 
18(Rhonda) Edwards; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Carole M. Crosby and extend our sincere condolences to her 
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
