SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Francis Joseph "Frank" Sauser of Rock 
4Island, who passed away on December 10, 2019; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Sauser was born in Cascade, Iowa to Joseph 
6F. and Mary R. (White) Sauser on October 24, 1946; he graduated 
7from Aquin High School in  Cascade in 1964 and served in the 
8U.S. Navy as a submariner aboard the USS John Marshall from 
91965 until 1971; he earned his Master of Business 
10Administration in Finance from Boston University in 1977; he 
11married Barbara Cox in 1983 and earned his law degree from the 
12University of Iowa in 1985; he married Diana Logsdon in Moline 
13on September 1, 2007; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Frank Sauser practiced law in Dubuque, Iowa from 
151985 until 1987; he served as the claims legal counsel for 
16Bituminous Insurance in Rock Island from 1995 until his 
17retirement in 2014; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Frank Sauser enjoyed golfing and was a member of 
19the Pinnacle Country Club in Milan; he also enjoyed ballroom 
20dancing with the No Name Dance Club at the Rock Island Arsenal 
21and the Renaissance Dance Club at the Short Hills Country Club;

1    WHEREAS, Frank Sauser was preceded in death by his parents 
2and his brothers, Thomas J. and Joseph N. Sauser; and
  
 
3    WHEREAS, Frank Sauser is survived by his wife, Diana; his 
4daughter, Katherine (Anthony) Phillips; his granddaughters, 
5Alexandra and Josephine Phillips; his siblings, Steve (Barb) 
6Sauser, Margaret (Joe) Noonan, Anne (Ron Carpenter) Sutter, 
7Allan (Doris) Sauser, Mary Jane (Dan) Driscoll, Ed (Joan) 
8Sauser, Ray (Jane) Sauser, Bill (Vickie) Sauser, and Joan 
9Sauser; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
12Francis Joseph "Frank" Sauser and extend our sincere 
13condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
14him; and be it further
  
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
16presented to  the family of  Frank Sauser as an expression of our 
17deepest sympathy.
