| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Pamela "Pam" Green of Urbana, who passed |
| 4 | | away on December 26, 2019; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Pam Green was born to James and Alice Smith in |
| 6 | | 1951; she was active in Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, where she |
| 7 | | exuded a free spirit, camping, climbing, hiking, and |
| 8 | | spelunking; she graduated from Urbana High School in 1969, |
| 9 | | where she was the class secretary, and from the University of |
| 10 | | Illinois in 1973; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Pam Green was a devoted teacher for 34 years and |
| 12 | | left an impression on countless colleagues and young minds at |
| 13 | | Homer, Ogden, and Yankee Ridge elementary schools; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, In retirement, Pam Green always looked forward to |
| 15 | | her time as a volunteer classroom aide in her granddaughter's |
| 16 | | first-grade class; she enjoyed spending time with her |
| 17 | | grandchildren, letterboxing with her friends, and |
| 18 | | bargain-hunting with her sister and sister-in-law; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Pam Green was often described as selfless, |
| 20 | | patient, and understanding, but above all else, she cared for |
| 21 | | and respected every person she encountered; and
|
