| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Thomas Charles "Tom" Hare of Joliet, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on December 23, 2019; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Tom Hare was born in Joliet to John Francis Sr. | ||||||
| 6 | and Helen Louise (Thuot) Hare on October 31, 1952; he graduated | ||||||
| 7 | from Joliet Central High School in 1970 and Illinois State | ||||||
| 8 | University in 1974 with a bachelor's degree; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Tom Hare retired from State Farm Insurance after | ||||||
| 10 | many years; most recently, he worked at the Will County Circuit | ||||||
| 11 | Court as a bailiff; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Tom Hare was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church | ||||||
| 13 | in Crest Hill, the South Side Civic Club, the Ingalls Park | ||||||
| 14 | A.C., the Will County Coin Club, and the Knights of Columbus; | ||||||
| 15 | he was also a member of the Old Timers Baseball Association of | ||||||
| 16 | Will County, where he served as membership coordinator for many | ||||||
| 17 | years; and | ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Tom Hare was an avid fan of the Chicago White Sox; | ||||||
| 19 | he was one of a kind and a friend to anyone he met; he had a | ||||||
| 20 | great knowledge of many things including, baseball, history, | ||||||
| 21 | and coins; he will be remembered as a great friend, a loving | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | husband, a devoted father, and a wonderful and caring PaPa; he | ||||||
| 2 | was strong in faith and rich in kindness and was the "nicest | ||||||
| 3 | man" you would ever meet; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Tom Hare was preceded in death by his parents and | ||||||
| 5 | his brothers, Jim "Dawg" Hare and John Francis (Cheryl) Hare | ||||||
| 6 | Jr.; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Tom Hare is survived by his wife of 26 years, | ||||||
| 8 | Susan "Kid" (Baranski) Hare; his son, Steven Pearson; his | ||||||
| 9 | daughter, Stephanie (Kyle) Adamowski; his brothers, Gene | ||||||
| 10 | (Sharon) and Dan "Sid" Hare; his sister-in-law, Vickie (Sayles) | ||||||
| 11 | Hare; his grandchildren, Ethan and Sasha Adamowski and Cole, | ||||||
| 12 | Josie, Dylan, and Chandlyr Pearson; numerous nieces, nephews, | ||||||
| 13 | and cousins; Trent Pearson; and many friends; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 14 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
| 15 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 16 | Thomas Charles "Tom" Hare and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
| 17 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 18 | further

| 19 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 20 | presented to the family of Tom Hare as an expression of our | ||||||
| 21 | deepest sympathy.
