2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Marshall "Marsh" E. LeSueur of Deerfield, |
4 | | who passed away on November 19, 2019; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Marshall LeSueur was born in Chattanooga, |
6 | | Tennessee to Marshall and Marguerite LeSueur; he enlisted in |
7 | | the Army in 1942 and served for three years during World War II |
8 | | in New Caledonia and the Philippines as a First Sergeant; he |
9 | | was awarded six medals for his service; and
|
10 | | WHEREAS, Marshall LeSueur attended Northwestern University |
11 | | Law School, earning his J.D. in 1950; he married Adrienne |
12 | | (Addie) in 1951; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, After settling the family in Deerfield, Marshall |
14 | | LeSueur became active in the community; he served as Deerfield |
15 | | Police Commissioner and was a longtime member of St. Gregory's |
16 | | Church, serving on the vestry, as a warden, and as an |
17 | | Eucharistic Minister; and

18 | | WHEREAS, Marshall LeSueur was an incurable Francophile, a |
19 | | history buff, a competitive tennis player, and a skilled |
20 | | do-it-yourselfer and was extremely proud of his family; and
