SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Bryan P. Johnson of Rock Island, who 
4passed away on January 9, 2020; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bryan Johnson was born in Davenport, Iowa to Paul 
6and Della (Hahn) Johnson on June 7, 1957; he went by many 
7nicknames over the years, including "Butch" to his little 
8sister Sheryl, "Twiggy" in Sherrard, and "Bucky" in Rockridge; 
9he served in the U.S. Army; he married Debbie (Quackenbush) 
10Schwartz in Rock Island on September 21, 2009; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Bryan Johnson worked as a professional roofer at 
12McCartney Improvement Co. for many years; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Bryan Johnson loved cooking for his friends and 
14family; he also enjoyed watching game shows, especially 
15Jeopardy, and solving jigsaw puzzles; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Bryan Johnson was preceded in death by his 
17parents; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Bryan Johnson is survived by his wife, Debbie 
19Johnson; his sisters, Jyll (John) Abbott and Sheryl (Virlon) 
20Lamberson; his uncles, Don Johnson, Paul Carter, and their

1families; his nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his dear 
2friends, Bill and Joyce Simmons; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Bryan P. Johnson and extend our sincere condolences to his 
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Bryan Johnson as an expression of 
10our deepest sympathy.
