| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Elbert L. "Al" Willey Jr. of Moline, who |
| 4 | | passed away on February 1, 2020; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Al Willey Jr. was born in Moline to Elbert and |
| 6 | | Phyllis (Lodge) Willey on June 27, 1948; he graduated from |
| 7 | | Moline High School in 1966; he attended Black Hawk College; he |
| 8 | | served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Al Willey Jr. previously owned and operated the |
| 10 | | Oar House and Squire's Pub, both located in Moline, as well as |
| 11 | | Quad City Restaurant and Equipment; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Al Willey Jr. enjoyed open wheel racing and raced |
| 13 | | midget cars for several years; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Al Willey Jr. was preceded in death by his parents |
| 15 | | and his beloved dogs, Bowser, Shadow, and Red; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Al Willey Jr. is survived by the love of his life, |
| 17 | | Barbara Hansen; his siblings, Carole Ryan, and Joseph Willey |
| 18 | | and Donna; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
|
| 19 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL |
