SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Larry Dean Tisor of Colona, who passed away on January 27, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Larry Tisor was born to Dean and Lois (Pickle) Tisor in Burlington, Iowa on November 17, 1943; he married Catherine Miller in Hagerstown, Maryland on December 26, 1962; and

WHEREAS, Larry Tisor proudly served in the United States Army; he worked as a laborer at John Deere Harvester and retired after 30 years of service; he also served as a volunteer fireman for Coal Valley for many years; and

WHEREAS, Larry Tisor loved leatherworking, playing horseshoes, golfing, and camping; he enjoyed playing softball for Murphy's Tap in Rock Island and playing games and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Larry Tisor was preceded in death by his father, his mother, and his stepfather, William "Bill" S. Thompson; and

WHEREAS, Larry Tisor is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Tisor; his children, Larry (fiance Jill James-Mundt) Tisor, Selina Edwards, Melissa (Chuck) Larson, and Judy (Harry) Alicea; his grandchildren, Jammy Upton, Trisha Upton, Elizabeth (Peter) Fretto, Jacob (Sarah) Larson, Trenton Larson, Logan Larson, Autymn (Blake) Lyon, Kendra Raley, Mason Raley, Liam Alicea, Clifford Tisor, and Nathaniel Tisor; his nine great-grandchildren and one on the way; his step-brother, Eric (Gail) Thompson; and his special nephews, Shawn and Scott Thompson; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Larry Dean Tisor and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Larry Tisor as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
