| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the passing of Lawrence "Larry" E. Hastings of Joliet, |
| 4 | | who passed away on February 6, 2020; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Larry Hastings was born on July 21, 1934; he |
| 6 | | served as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service |
| 7 | | for 37 years and was a lifelong resident of Joliet; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Larry Hastings' wife, Helen (Genczo) Hastings, |
| 9 | | was the true light of his life; they were inseparable from the |
| 10 | | day they met and epitomized the meaning of love and marriage; |
| 11 | | and |
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Larry Hastings greatly enjoyed spending time with |
| 13 | | his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; he |
| 14 | | was an avid Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed |
| 15 | | a good polka and a cold one with his family and friends; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Larry Hastings was preceded in death by his |
| 17 | | parents, Russell and Helen (Wesoleski) Hastings; his grandson, |
| 18 | | Brian Hastings; his brother, Bernard Hastings; and his |
| 19 | | step-brother, Edward Wegersen; and

| 20 | | WHEREAS, Larry Hastings is survived by his beloved wife of |
