| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of James A. "Jim" Silversmet Sr. of Moline, |
| 4 | | who passed away on February 12, 2020; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jim Silversmet Sr. was born in Moline to Albert |
| 6 | | and Marilynne (Remery) Silversmet on December 15, 1951; he |
| 7 | | served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War; he married |
| 8 | | Judy Duyvejonck in Moline on March 26, 1977; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Jim Silversmet Sr. worked at John Deere Davenport |
| 10 | | Works for 25 years; he retired in 2014; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Jim Silversmet Sr. was a member of the VFW Velie |
| 12 | | Post and the Friend Circle Club, both located in Moline; he |
| 13 | | enjoyed bowling, camping, and NASCAR; most of all, he loved his |
| 14 | | time with his family; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Jim Silversmet Sr. is survived by his children, |
| 16 | | Jamie (Rhonda) Silversmet and Beth Ann (Mark) Cummings; his |
| 17 | | grandchildren, Alissa, Anna, Kirsten, Kaitlin, Ronnie, Alyssa, |
| 18 | | and Olivia; his great-grandchildren, Kaden, Alexander, Julian, |
| 19 | | and Jaxson; his sisters, Sharon (Craig) Schultz and Deb |
| 20 | | Polchow; and his brother, Ricky (Mona) Silversmet; therefore, |
