SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Jon R. Lindahl of Moline, who passed away
4on February 22, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jon Lindahl was born in Moline to Robert W. and
6Kathryn D. (Vogt) Lindahl on September 18, 1946; he served in
7the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1969 and was deployed to
8Vietnam; he married Barb Buranek on Grand Bahama Island on June
920, 2006; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Jon Lindahl was an aviation engineer for the Deere
11and Co. Aviation Department until 2001; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jon Lindahl was a member of the American Legion
13and Moose Lodge in Cape Coral, Florida; he was a member of the
14Viking Club in Moline; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jon Lindahl was an avid car enthusiast and
16especially loved his 1936 Chevy Coupe; he also enjoyed fishing
17trips in Canada and wintering in Cape Coral for 10 years with
18his wife and fun-loving friends; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Jon Lindahl was preceded in death by his parents;
20his sister, Ann; and his grandson, Abraham; and

1    WHEREAS, Jon Lindahl is survived by his wife, Barb; his
2stepsons, Steven (Tammy Hartschorn) Suter and Robert (Lisa)
3Moon; his daughters, Angela (Lois Hamilton-Lindahl) Lindahl
4and Amber (Jeff) Harris; his grandchildren, Hunter Moon, Adele
5Moon, Jamie Harris, Sydnie Harris, Hannah Harris, Colby Harris,
6Quincy Harris, Henry Harris, and Abigail Harris; his sister,
7Carol Wegner; and his brother, Bill Lindahl; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Jon R. Lindahl and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Jon Lindahl as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
