SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the passing of Carl L. Goodrick of Illinois City, who 
4passed away on May 7, 2020; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Carl Goodrick was born to Raymond and Frances 
6Coulter Goodrick in Muscatine, Iowa on May 25, 1944; he married 
7Anneliese Diess in Hanau, Germany on March 26, 1965, and she 
8preceded him in death on July 28, 2005; he married Linda D, 
9Riley in December of 2007, and she preceded him in death on May 
108, 2017; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Carl Goodrick  served in Vietnam and retired from 
12the U.S. Army as a Sergeant Major;  he was then  employed at the 
13Rock Island Arsenal; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Carl Goodrick was a member of the Masonic Lodge; 
15and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Carl Goodrick was preceded in death by his 
17parents; his first wife, Anneliese; and his second wife, Linda; 
18and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Carl Goodrick is survived by his stepdaughter, 
20Madison Fox; his two step-grandchildren; his sister, Debbie

1Bagby; his two nephews, Kenneth Lashbrook and Donald Lashbrook; 
2and several cousins; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

5Carl L. Goodrick and extend our sincere
condolences to his 
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

9presented to the family of Carl Goodrick as an expression of

10our deepest sympathy.
