| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Ronald D. Blad of Moline, who passed away |
| 4 | | on March 6, 2020; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Blad was born in Moline to Robert and |
| 6 | | Margaret (DeDoncker) Blad on May 4, 1937; he served in the U.S. |
| 7 | | Army from 1955 to 1957; he married Judy Possin on August 31, |
| 8 | | 1963; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Blad was employed by John Deere Plow |
| 10 | | Planter Works and then the John Deere Foundry, retiring when it |
| 11 | | closed in 1993; he then became a self-employed landscaper and |
| 12 | | snowplow driver in the Quad-City area; he was a member of the |
| 13 | | local UAW; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Blad was known as a real handyman who could |
| 15 | | fix anything; he enjoyed doing yard work; he especially loved |
| 16 | | the coffee at McDonald's and having coffee and donuts at Dunkin |
| 17 | | Donuts; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Blad is survived by his wife, Judy (Possin) |
| 19 | | Blad; his sons, Kent (Veronica) Blad and Brian (Christine) |
| 20 | | Blad; his sister, Margaret (Johnny) Ruiz; his brother, Hjalmer |
| 21 | | Blad; his grandchildren, Stephanie Farrow, Tiffany (Chris) |
