| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Tyrone Dooley of Springfield, who passed |
| 4 | | away on April 4, 2020; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Tyrone Dooley was born to John and Ora Dooley on |
| 6 | | November 13, 1940; he was a native of Hot Springs, Arkansas; he |
| 7 | | graduated from Langston High School in Hot Springs; he served |
| 8 | | in the U.S. Navy; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Tyrone Dooley served in the Garland County |
| 10 | | Sheriff's Department in Hot Springs; he was a former employee |
| 11 | | of Union Carbide; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Tyrone Dooley was committed to his faith and was |
| 13 | | baptized at Roanoke Baptist Church; he was an active member of |
| 14 | | Calvary Baptist Church in Springfield; he was also a member of |
| 15 | | the Benevolent Order of the Elks; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Tyrone Dooley will be remembered as a devoted |
| 17 | | father and husband, as a talented musician, and as a big man |
| 18 | | with a larger than life personality; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Tyrone Dooley was preceded in death by his parents |
| 20 | | and six siblings; and
