SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Calvin W. Williams of Hopedale, who 
4passed away on May 7, 2020; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Calvin Williams was born in Bloomington to Robert 
6and Dolores Matthews Williams on April 9, 1952; he married 
7Bonnie E. Meredith; he served in the U.S. Marine Corps in 
8Vietnam; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Calvin Williams was a manager of forestry and 
10safety for Corn Belt Electric for 40 years until his 
11retirement; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Calvin Williams loved his family; he enjoyed 
13spending time with his pets and the trees; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Calvin Williams was preceded in death by his 
15parents; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Calvin Williams is survived by his wife; his 
17daughter, Jennifer (Terry) Brown; his son, James (Christine) 
18Williams; his sister, Edie Gummere; his brother, Terry (Vicki) 
19Williams; and his granddaughter, Kahlan; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Calvin W. Williams and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Calvin Williams as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
