2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Bienvenido A. "Ben" Arboleda Jr. of Rock |
4 | | Island, who passed away on May 28, 2020; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Ben Arboleda Jr. was born in Bauang, La Union, |
6 | | Philippines to Bienvenido and Placida "Ada" (Andrada) Arboleda |
7 | | Sr. on October 28, 1952; he served in the U.S. Navy for 20 |
8 | | years and was a Vietnam veteran; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Ben Arboleda Jr. worked as a U.S. Postal Service |
10 | | worker until his retirement; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Ben Arboleda Jr. was a member of the Veterans of |
12 | | Foreign Wars of the United States, Masonic Lodge Eureka #69, |
13 | | Shriners International, High Twelve International, and the |
14 | | Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Freemasonry; he enjoyed |
15 | | singing, eating, working on cars, and meeting new people; and
|
16 | | WHEREAS, Ben Arboleda Jr. will be remembered for being a |
17 | | hardworking, positive-minded, friendly, passionate, and loving |
18 | | man; a man of true character, he was known for his ability to |
19 | | light up the room with his big smile; and
|
20 | | WHEREAS, Ben Arboleda Jr. was preceded in death by his |

1 | | parents; his brother, Jess Arboleda; and his nephew, Kenzley |
2 | | Arboleda; and

3 | | WHEREAS, Ben Arboleda Jr. is survived by his wife, Remy |
4 | | Arboleda; his children, Jason Arboleda, Maggie (Jeff) Perine, |
5 | | Ana Rica (Craig) Hartman, Kristiana "Kat" Arboleda, and Joshua |
6 | | Arboleda; his stepdaughter, Nicole Noble; his grandchildren, |
7 | | Rheagan Arboleda, Jaxon Arboleda, Lincoln Arboleda, Van |
8 | | Savage, Talia Perine, Milla Perine, Matthew Hartman, Corbin |
9 | | Hartman, Josie Hartman, Judah Ray Bird, and Avery Levi Kauer; |
10 | | his brothers, Dante (Marivic) Arboleda, Romeo (Mel) Arboleda, |
11 | | and Cesar Arboleda; his nephews, Jan Paul, Warren, Eric, |
12 | | Froilan, and Jerome Arboleda; and his sister-in-law, Yolly |
13 | | Arboleda; therefore, be it

14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL |
15 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
16 | | Bienvenido A. "Ben" Arboleda Jr. and extend our sincere |
17 | | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved |
18 | | him; and be it further

19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
20 | | presented to the family of Ben Arboleda Jr. as an expression of |
21 | | our deepest sympathy.
