SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Louis "Louie" Gonzales of Chicago, who 
4passed away on April 1, 2020; and
  
 
  
5    WHEREAS, Louie Gonzales worked as a pipe insulator for the 
6Chicago Park District for nearly a decade; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Louie Gonzales spent decades volunteering as a 
8baseball and football coach at Northwest Side grade schools; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Louie Gonzales was laid back and calm, a port in 
11the storm; he would do anything for anybody; he was the kind of 
12rich that matters, rich in the love of family and friends and 
13the admiration of his community; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Louie Gonzales was an everyman; he loved family 
15gatherings, hot dogs, Twinkies, chocolate milk, and sci-fi and 
16action movies; he  loved the song Unanswered Prayers by Garth 
17Brooks; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Louie Gonzales was adored by his wife, Laura, 
19their son, Tommy, and countless other family members;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of  
3Louis "Louie" Gonzales and extend our sincere condolences to 
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Louie Gonzales as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
