| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Richard M. "Dick" Hatlett of Rock Island, |
| 4 | | who passed away on June 30, 2020; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Richard Hatlett was born in Fairfield to Larry and |
| 6 | | Emma (Skelton) Hatlett on April 22, 1926; he served in the U.S. |
| 7 | | Army during World War II and married Marjorie Farmer in Cisne |
| 8 | | on July 5, 1953; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Richard Hatlett was an accountant for the Rock |
| 10 | | Island Arsenal, retiring in 1977; later, he worked for Samuels |
| 11 | | Jewelers, Necker's Jewelers, and Cohen's Furniture; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Richard Hatlett was a member of the 15th Avenue |
| 13 | | Christian Church in Rock Island, the National Active and |
| 14 | | Retired Federal Employees Association, Moline American Legion |
| 15 | | No. 246, and the Kiwanis; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Richard Hatlett was preceded in death by his |
| 17 | | parents and his siblings, Lucille, Catherine, Flora, Naomi, |
| 18 | | Larry, and Robert; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Richard Hatlett is survived by his wife, Marjorie; |
| 20 | | his children, Richard Hatlett, Robert (Jeanie) Hatlett, Ronald |
