SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Gerald W. Maddox of Moline, who passed 
4away on July 8, 2020; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Gerald  Maddox  was born in Davenport, Iowa to 
6George Warren and Ruth H. (Turner) Maddox on September 24, 
71940; he graduated from Moline High School and Black Hawk 
8College and served in the U.S. Air Force; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Gerald  Maddox  retired from Deere and Co. in 1995; 
10and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Gerald  Maddox  enjoyed billiards, bowling, golf, 
12tennis, riding motorcycles, hunting, and traveling; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Gerald  Maddox  was preceded in death by his 
14parents; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Gerald  Maddox  is survived by his daughter, Shanon 
16Maddox; his son, Gerek; his granddaughter, Alyssa H. Maddox; 
17and numerous cousins, including Nancy Seelow; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Gerald W. Maddox and extend our sincere condolences to his 
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
