SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Peter M. "Mick" Scherbroeck of Moline, 
4who passed away on July 10, 2020; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Mick Scherbroeck was born in Moline to Peter and 
6Madeline (Strobbe) Scherbroeck on February 16, 1947; as a U. S. 
7Navy Seabee, he served two tours of duty during the Vietnam 
8War; he married Karen Reed in Davenport, Iowa in 1976, and she 
9preceded him in death in 1998; he then married Renee DeBel in 
10Cambridge on September 25, 2003; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Mick Scherbroeck worked at John Deere Davenport 
12Works, retiring in 2006 after 30 years of service; and
  
 
  
13    WHEREAS, Mick Scherbroeck was preceded in death by his 
14first wife, Karen; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Mick Scherbroeck is survived by his wife, Renee; 
16his children, Shawn and Christine Scherbroeck; his stepsons, 
17Mark (Tracy), Eric, and Stephen Ogden; five grandchildren; four 
18great-grandchildren; his sister, Jeanette Boyd; and numerous 
19nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Peter M. "Mick" Scherbroeck and extend our sincere condolences 
3to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be 
4it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of Mick Scherbroeck as an expression of 
7our deepest sympathy.
