SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Anthony Pianezza of Springfield, who 
4passed away on July 4, 2020; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Anthony Pianezza was born to Pino and Esta Maria 
6(Campagna) Pianezza on February 8, 1947; he graduated from 
7Griffin High School and then served in the U.S. Air Force; he  
8later graduated from the University of Illinois in Springfield, 
9earning his Bachelor of Arts in Management; he married Emma 
10Giancarli in 1979;  and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, With his father and brother, Anthony Pianezza was 
12part owner of Roma bakery for over 30 years, proudly serving 
13central Illinois with deliciously iconic Italian bread; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Anthony Pianezza enjoyed fishing and flying and 
15was an avid reader; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Anthony Pianezza was preceded in death by his 
17parents and his wife; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Anthony Pianezza is survived by his sons, Patrick 
19Pianezza and Paul (Lexx) Pianezza; his grandson, Kitt; and his 
20brother, Louie Pianezza; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

3Anthony Pianezza and extend our sincere
condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

7presented to the family of Anthony Pianezza as an expression of

8our deepest sympathy.
