SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Jerry Lee Price Sr. of Bloomington, who 
4passed away on August 1, 2020; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jerry Price was born in East Peoria to Thomas and 
6Vera (May) Price on April 14, 1942; he married Lois "Susie" 
7Shepherd, and she preceded him in death on March 5, 2003; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Jerry Price worked for the City of Bloomington as 
9a heavy equipment operator/engineer for 28 years until his 
10retirement; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Jerry Price enjoyed camping and traveling, 
12especially when he had his dogs by his side; he had his own 
13special camping place he would visit by the Illinois River; he 
14also enjoyed spending his winters in Texas and  loved his family 
15more than anything; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Jerry Price was preceded in death by his wife, 
17Susie; his parents; and several brothers; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Jerry Price is survived by his significant other 
19of 14 years, Mary Mohr; his son, Jerry Price Jr.; his daughter, 
20Deshona (Daniel) Hert; his grandchildren, Brittani (Evan)

1Price, Brandi (Matt) Wright, Heather Price, and Ashley (Antonio 
2Acosta) Price; his great-grandchildren, Hailey Wright, Micah 
3Price, Afton Price, Aubry Price, and Elisha Prather; and 
4several brothers and sisters; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
7Jerry Lee Price Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his 
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
9further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to  the family of  Jerry Price as an expression of our 
12deepest sympathy.
