SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of James "Jim" R. Adamson of Rock Island, 
4who passed away on August 16, 2020; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jim Adamson was born to LeRoy and Clara (Nelson) 
6Adamson in Burlington, Iowa on March 14, 1944; he married 
7Patricia "Patty" J. Moore in Wheaton on July 2, 1971; he  was a 
8U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam Era; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Jim Adamson was the owner and operator of Adamson 
10Accounting in Moline; he retired in 2007; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Jim Adamson was a former member of the Oakwood 
12Country Club in Coal Valley; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Jim Adamson enjoyed golfing and woodworking; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Jim Adamson is survived by his wife, Patty; his 
15children and their families, Christy (Glen) Sancken and Abby 
16and Kara, Steve (Monica) Adamson and  Blake and Breanne, Erin 
17(Dean) Magee and Jackson and Adelyn, and Mike (Whitney) Adamson 
18and Brady and Caleb; and his brother, Dick (Carol) Adamson;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

3James "Jim" R. Adamson and extend our sincere
condolences to 
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

7presented to the family of Jim Adamson as an expression of
our 
8deepest sympathy.
