| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of John Michael Daggett of Colona, who |
| 4 | | passed away on August 13, 2020; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, John Daggett was born to John Morton and Millie |
| 6 | | Lou (Whitlow) Daggett in Moline on August 11, 1959; he served |
| 7 | | in the U.S. Navy for over nine years, serving with the |
| 8 | | International Peacekeeping force in Lebanon and as a Chief |
| 9 | | Master of Arms; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, John Daggett worked for the U.S. Postal Service in |
| 11 | | Milan; he retired in March of 2020; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, John Daggett was a member of the Waterkeeper |
| 13 | | Alliance and of the Colona American Legion; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, John Daggett enjoyed boating, fishing, |
| 15 | | photography, and collecting artifacts; above all else, his |
| 16 | | family was the most important thing to him, especially his |
| 17 | | children; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, John Daggett was preceded in death by his father |
| 19 | | and his brother-in-law, Bart Chilton; and
