| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Ronald Griffin of Milan, who passed away |
| 4 | | on August 14, 2020; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Griffin was born in Moline to Elmer and |
| 6 | | Constance (Miles) Griffin on August 18, 1941; he married |
| 7 | | Claudia Betcher in Rock Island on June 6, 1964; he served in |
| 8 | | the U.S. Army; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Griffin worked as a forms analyst at Deere & |
| 10 | | Company until his retirement; he later owned his own business |
| 11 | | that provided forms to local businesses; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Griffin was known for his positivity and |
| 13 | | his witty sense of humor that brought joy to those who knew |
| 14 | | him; he enjoyed drawing, teaching, mentoring, working on cars, |
| 15 | | WWII aircraft, reading, fishing, and Scouting; he will be |
| 16 | | remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Griffin is survived by his wife, Claudia; |
| 18 | | his children, Christine (Randall) DeVoss and Marc (Dana) |
| 19 | | Griffin; his grandchildren, Seth Lubben, Sara (Adam) Bebernes, |
| 20 | | and Sydney Griffin; his great-grandchild, Harley Marie |
