|
2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Judy D. June of Joliet, who passed away |
4 | | on July 24, 2020; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Judy June was born in East St. Louis to Thomas |
6 | | Clifford and Wanda Lee (Biggers) Tyson on February 22, 1943; |
7 | | she graduated from Cahokia High School in 1960 and was an |
8 | | active member of the Bethel Chapter in East St. Louis; she |
9 | | graduated from nursing school at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. |
10 | | Louis, Missouri in 1964; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Judy June began her nursing career at Centerville |
12 | | Hospital in Illinois and continued in Springfield for two |
13 | | seasons as team nurse for the St. Louis Cardinals minor league |
14 | | team, the Springfield Redbirds; she was a pediatric physician's |
15 | | assistant with a large local clinic and chief nurse of the |
16 | | first statewide Bureau of Nursing Home Enforcement with the |
17 | | Illinois Department of Public Health; she retired as |
18 | | administrator of the Deerbrook Care Center and as a nursing |
19 | | consultant with several major midwest nursing home |
20 | | corporations; and
|
21 | | WHEREAS, Judy June was a member of the First Presbyterian |
22 | | Church, where she was part of the church choir; she was also a |
|

1 | | member of The Holly Club of Joliet and a supporter of the |
2 | | Joliet Area Community Hospice; she was an avid gardener, and |
3 | | her garden was featured in the 2016 Hospice Garden Walk; her |
4 | | most treasured times were with her grandchildren and |
5 | | great-grandchildren; and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Judy June was preceded in death by her parents; |
7 | | and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, Judy June is survived by her husband of 30 years, |
9 | | Ford C. "Chet" June III; her sisters, Nancy Lorraine (Dennis) |
10 | | Husch and Connie Lee (Michael) McKee; her brothers-in-law, |
11 | | Peter B. (Janet) June and D. Andrew (Cynthia) June; her aunt, |
12 | | Barbara Carolyn Ocker; her daughter-in-law, Kim Chang Suk |
13 | | Weber; her grandchildren, Robert James Weber III, Angelica |
14 | | Kathren Weber, and Sarah Ann Weber; her great-grandchildren, |
15 | | Madison Nicole Weber, Bella Nacole Weber, Brantley Michael |
16 | | Weber, and Paisley Delores Ballew; her son, Robert James Weber |
17 | | II; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

18 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL |
19 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
20 | | Judy D. June and extend our sincere condolences to her family, |
21 | | friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
