SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Larry R. Orton of Delavan, who passed 
4away on September 10, 2020; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Larry Orton was born to George W. and Mary Ellen 
6Westfall Orton on November 26, 1945; he graduated from Delavan 
7High School in 1963; he attended Western Illinois University; 
8he served in the U.S. Air National Guard; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Larry Orton worked for the Xerox Corporation in 
10Springfield from 1969 until his retirement in 2001; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Larry Orton was preceded in death by his parents; 
12his brothers, William "Verl" Orton and Donald Orton; and his 
13granddaughter, Taylor; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Larry Orton is survived by his children, Kerri 
15(Vince), Cory (Laurie), Brice (Jacki), and Tyler; his 
16grandchildren, Sebastian, Ethan, Chase, Harrison, and Jaxson; 
17his brothers, Charles (Georgeann) and Joe; his sister, Sue; his 
18several nieces and nephews; and his best friend and nephew, 
19Todd; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Larry R. Orton and extend our sincere condolences to his 
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Larry Orton as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
