| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Leo Robert Studer of Tolono, who passed |
| 4 | | away on September 4, 2020; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Leo Studer was born in Fisher to Harve and Carrie |
| 6 | | (Sommer) Studer on September 13, 1929; he served in the U.S. |
| 7 | | Army during the Korean War; he married Judi Wrather on July 2, |
| 8 | | 1967; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Leo Studer was a Champaign County Sheriff's Deputy |
| 10 | | for more than 30 years; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Leo Studer was active in many community |
| 12 | | organizations, including the Illini Lodge 17 Fraternal Order of |
| 13 | | Police, the Illinois Police Association, the Lions Club, and |
| 14 | | Tolono village government; he served as an election judge; he |
| 15 | | was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Flatville; |
| 16 | | he was an avid fisherman and a longtime member of the C-U Bass |
| 17 | | Club; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Leo Studer was preceded in death by his parents |
| 19 | | and his daughter, Michele; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Leo Studer is survived by his wife, Judi; his son, |
