| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Cornelius "Connie" O'Neill of Joliet, who |
| 4 | | passed away on September 1, 2020; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Connie O'Neill was born to Cornelius and Mary |
| 6 | | (Gleason) O'Neill in Joliet in 1933; he graduated from Joliet |
| 7 | | Catholic High School in 1950; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Connie O'Neill retired from the Teamsters Union, |
| 9 | | Local 179, and the City of Joliet Fire Department; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Connie O'Neill was a fourth-degree member of the |
| 11 | | Knights of Columbus, a member of the Italian American Cultural |
| 12 | | Society, and a former member of St. Mary Carmelite in Joliet; |
| 13 | | and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Connie O'Neill loved music, dancing, and fishing; |
| 15 | | and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Connie O'Neill was preceded in death by his son, |
| 17 | | Connie O'Neill Jr.; his parents; and his brother, Jim Bell; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Connie O'Neill is survived by his loving wife, |
| 19 | | Josephine Juresic; his sister, Mary Ellen Vorhees; and numerous |
