SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Terrence "Bebop" Tetter, who passed away on November 14, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Terrence Tetter was born to Donald Tetter and Juanita (Beard) Tetter in Chicago on August 13, 1974; he graduated from Danville High School in 1993; he then enlisted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged after years of faithful service; he received a bachelor's degree in education from Illinois State University in 2002; he married Ivy Reed on September 1, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Terrence Tetter was a special education teacher for Danville School District 118; he began his teaching career at Cannon Elementary School and later transitioned to Danville High School; he coached Danville High School wrestling for 13 years; he dedicated his life to helping the youth in his community; and

WHEREAS, Terrence Tetter was Sergeant-at-Arms of the Killer Bee MC, a past master of Corinthian Lodge 31 F&AM PHA, and a member of Menelik Consistory 49; and

WHEREAS, Terrence Tetter was preceded in death by his father; his three nephews, Demetrius Dandridge, Zellner Brown III, and Demaree' Tetter; his grandmother, Hatti Beard; and his grandfather, Henderson Butler; and

WHEREAS, Terrence Tetter is survived by his wife; his mother; his siblings, Dr. Marcellus Tetter, Donald Tetter II, and Donetta Tetter; his nieces and nephews; his great-nieces and great-nephews; his godchildren; and his family and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Terrence "Bebop" Tetter and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Terrence Tetter as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
