SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Jean Lena, who passed away on August 28, 
42020 at the age of 89; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jean Lena was born in Chicago to Eugene and 
6Eulalia Riccio; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Jean Lena was a proud, 35-year retired employee of 
8West Suburban Hospital, where she is fondly remembered as 
9"Operator Jean"; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Jean Lena enjoyed cooking for her family and 
11friends and beautifying her home and garden; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Jean Lena was preceded in death by her husband of 
1353 years, Ronald; her granddaughter, Maggie Cartwright; and her 
14sister, Marie Wolande; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Jean Lena is survived by her children, Karen 
16Cartwright, and Richard, Tom, and Diane Lena; her 
17grandchildren, Lauren Trisler, and Jean, Frank, Madeline, 
18Charlie, Molly, Christine, Matthew, and Michael Lena; and her 
19great-grandchildren, Jack, Audra, and Carmella; therefore, be

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Jean Lena and extend our sincere condolences to her family, 
4friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of  Jean Lena as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
