SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Michael R. Lofgren, who passed away on 
4October 28, 2019 at the age of 46; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Lofgren was born to John L. and Julia 
6Lofgren on April 15, 1973; he graduated from Duke University in 
71995; he earned his MBA from Northwestern University in 1998; 
8he was a 21-year resident of Oak Park; he previously resided in 
9Canton, Ohio, Edinburgh, Scotland, and Sydney, Australia; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Michael Lofgren had many passions, including 
11family, travel, and friends; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Michael Lofgren was the husband of Andrea; the 
13father of Emma and Abigail; the son of John L. and Julia 
14Lofgren; the son-in-law of Bonita and Paul Stockmeyer; the 
15brother of Denise (Carl) Weisfelder and Beth (David) Klapp; the 
16grandson of LaDeane and the late John E. Lofgren and the late 
17Mary and Robert Schrader; and the uncle, nephew, cousin, and 
18friend to many; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
21Michael R. Lofgren and extend our sincere condolences to his

1family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to the family of Michael Lofgren as an expression of
