SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Joseph M. "Joe" Hansen of Moline, who 
4passed away on November 20, 2020; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Joe Hansen was born in Quincy to James M. "Whitey" 
6and Catherine "Isabelle" Kirchner Hansen on July 26, 1948; he 
7served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam; he married Jean 
8VanOpdorp-Sandoval in Rock Island County on June 1, 2000; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Joe Hansen worked for the Rock Island Arsenal for 
1030 years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Joe Hansen enjoyed fishing and hunting in his 
12earlier years; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Joe Hansen was preceded in death by his father and 
14his brother, James; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Joe Hansen is survived by his wife, Jean; his 
16stepchildren, Jacob and Alex Sandoval; his mother, Catherine 
17"Isabelle" Hansen; his siblings, John Hansen, Robert "Bob" 
18Hansen, and Joan Hansen Holgate; and his nephew, Devin (Lisa) 
19Hansen; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Joseph M. "Joe" Hansen and extend our sincere condolences to 
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Joe Hansen as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
