3 | | learn of the death of Oyedele "Oye" Olupitan of Chicago, who |
4 | | passed away on August 18, 2020; and

5 | | WHEREAS, Oye Olupitan was born to Mary E. and David D. |
6 | | Olupitan in Chicago on February 23, 1978; he attended Young |
7 | | High School and Calumet High School and then studied at Kennedy |
8 | | King College; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Oye Olupitan was an entrepreneur and talented |
10 | | lifestyle merchandiser, automotive technician, jewelry |
11 | | designer, and visual artist, specializing in drawing and |
12 | | airbrushing; he also worked for Ford Motor Company and Amazon; |
13 | | and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Oye Olupitan had a passion for recording his own |
15 | | rap music, fashion, poetry, traveling, cooking, eating, |
16 | | dancing, libations, top of the line footwear, The Chicago |
17 | | Bulls, especially during the championship era, and swimming; |
18 | | his family meant everything to him; he had a big personality, a |
19 | | sarcastic sense of humor, and an infectious smile and will be |
20 | | remembered as an influential neighborhood icon; and

21 | | WHEREAS, Oye Olupitan was preceded in death by his parents |
