AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 115




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 115 on page 3, by 
3replacing line 2 with the following:

4    "(3) Public data sets made available pursuant to this 
5Section are provided for informational purposes only.  The 
6Secretary of State does not warrant the completeness, 
7accuracy, content, or fitness for any particular purpose or 
8use of any public data set made available on the web portal, 
9nor are such warranties to be implied or inferred with respect 
10to the public data sets furnished under this Act.  The 
11compilations of the daily list mentioned"; and
 
12on page 3, by inserting immediately below line 8 the 
13following:
14    "(4) The State is not liable for any deficiencies in the 
15completeness, accuracy, content, or fitness for any particular 
16purpose or use of any public data set or any third-party 
17application utilizing such data set, unless such deficiencies

1are the result of willful or wanton action of the Secretary of 
2State or its employees or agents."; and
 
3on page 11, by inserting immediately below line 10 the 
4following:
5    "(c) Public data sets made available pursuant to this 
6Section are provided for informational purposes only.  The 
7Secretary of State does not warrant the completeness, 
8accuracy, content, or fitness for any particular purpose or 
9use of any public data set made available on the web portal, 
10nor are such warranties to be implied or inferred with respect 
11to the public data sets furnished under this Act.
