Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that a municipality may enter into a contract with a county for engineering services if the contract is for $2,500 or less. Effective immediately.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 8-1-19 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 8-1-19. Contracts for engineering services. A |
| 8 | | municipality may enter into a contract with a county for |
| 9 | | engineering services if the contract is for $2,500 or less.

| 10 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 11 | | becoming law.
