| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Radon Industry Licensing Act is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 27 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (420 ILCS 44/27) |
| 7 | | Sec. 27. Approval of radon sampling and measurement |
| 8 | | devices. No person shall sell a device in this State to detect |
| 9 | | the presence of radon or radon progeny in the indoor |
| 10 | | atmosphere without prior approval of the device from the |
| 11 | | Agency. All electronic radon detection devices sold in this |
| 12 | | State to individuals licensed in accordance with this Act must |
| 13 | | be calibrated to ensure the accuracy and precision of their |
| 14 | | measurements of radon and radon progeny.
