Amends the Lawyers' Assistance Program Act and the State Finance Act. Repeals provisions concerning: the definition of "lawyers' assistance program"; support for lawyers' assistance programs; creation of the Lawyers' Assistance Program Fund; program funding; and powers of the Supreme Court. Provides for the transfer of the balance of the money in the Lawyers' Assistance Program
Fund to the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission. Provides that the Lawyers' Assistance Program Act is repealed in its entirety on July 1, 2022. Effective January 1, 2022.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 5 | | Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended by repealing |
| 6 | | Section 5.586.
|
| 7 | | Section 10. The Lawyers' Assistance Program Act is amended |
| 8 | | by changing Section 15 and by adding Section 30 as follows:

| 10 | | Sec. 15. Transfer of program funds. An amount equal to the |
| 11 | | balance of the money in the Lawyers' Assistance Program
Fund |
| 12 | | as it existed on December 31, 2021 shall be transferred to the |
| 13 | | Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission by June 30, |
| 14 | | 2022. Creation of the Lawyers' Assistance Program
