| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Simplified Sales and Use Tax Administration |
| 5 | | Act is amended by changing Section 4 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (35 ILCS 171/4)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 4. Authority to participate in multistate |
| 8 | | negotiations. For the
the
purposes of reviewing or amending or |
| 9 | | both reviewing and amending the Agreement
embodying the |
| 10 | | simplification requirements as contained in Section 7 of this
|
| 11 | | Act, the State shall enter into multistate discussions. For |
| 12 | | purposes of such
discussions, the State shall be represented |
| 13 | | by 4 delegates. One delegate shall
be appointed by the |
| 14 | | President of the Senate, one by the Minority Leader of the
|
| 15 | | Senate, one by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, |
| 16 | | and one by the
Minority Leader of the House of |
| 17 | | Representatives. |
