| 8 | | government. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a |
| 9 | | township board of trustees that owns a waterworks system, |
| 10 | | sewerage system, or a combined waterworks and sewerage system |
| 11 | | may transfer the system or any portion of the system when, in |
| 12 | | the opinion of the board of trustees, the property is no longer |
| 13 | | necessary, appropriate, or required for the use of, profitable |
| 14 | | to, or for the best interests of the township. This power shall |
| 15 | | be exercised by an ordinance passed by at least a two-thirds |
