| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 107 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (5 ILCS 490/107 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 107. Veterans Gardening Day. The first Saturday in |
| 8 | | May of each year is designated as Veterans Gardening Day to be |
| 9 | | observed throughout the State as a day set apart in the honor |
| 10 | | and remembrance of veterans and as celebrated with appropriate |
| 11 | | activities.
