AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3084




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3084, AS AMENDED, 
3with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 
41,  on page 7, line 11, by replacing "maternity episode." with 
5the following:


6"maternity episode.
 
7    Section 20. Reports; evaluations. 
8    (a) In accordance with Section 5-5.24 of the Illinois 
9Public Aid Code, beginning January 1, 2024, and each January 1 
10thereafter through January 1, 2028, the Department of 
11Healthcare and Family Services shall report to the General 
12Assembly the expenditures associated with the provision of 
13perinatal care services to pilot program participants who are 
14insured under the State's Medical Assistance Program. 
15Specifically, the Department shall report to the General 
16Assembly the incidences of low birthweight, preterm birth, 
17hospital admission for neonatal intensive care services, and

1severe maternal morbidity, pregnancy-related mortality, and 
2neonatal mortality among program participants. The Department 
3of Healthcare and Family Services shall collect and maintain 
4deidentified demographic data for all program participants. 
5Demographic data collected for any program participant shall 
6include the participant's zip code of residence at the time of 
7program enrollment, parity, maternal race and ethnicity, 
8maternal age at delivery, and weeks' gestation at the time of 
9program enrollment. 
10    (b) The Department of Public Health shall monitor and 
11evaluate implementation of the alternative health care 
12delivery model provided under the pilot program in accordance 
13with the relevant terms and standards under Section 20 of the 
14Alternative Health Care Delivery Act.".
