| 1 | | AN ACT concerning education.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections |
| 5 | | 10-20.73 and 34-18.67 as follows:
|

| 7 | | Sec. 10-20.73. Student absence; pregnancy. A school board |
| 8 | | shall adopt written policies related to absences and missed |
| 9 | | homework or classwork assignments as a result of or related to |
| 10 | | a student's pregnancy.
